The Writing On The Wall

Where do we get our stinking thinking from? Somewhere deep down inside lies a struggle so deep that it could be a sink hole. Addiction leads us into a deep dark pit of despair so deep that we cannot see the writing on the wall. All the signs and symptoms are there. Yet we persist in an unnatural desire to feel good in a bad sort of way. Day in and day out addicts beat themselves up with a barrage of questions and wondering why they can’t stop. There must be a better way to feel better. Life can’t get better than this……Sure it can. Just stop what you are doing and think for a moment. Is this behavior healthy or harmful to your lifestyle? Why do you continuously berate yourself? Do you deserve the life of being an addict? Be honest with yourself. What do you really want out of your life as an addict? Take a good look at yourself in the mirror. Look closely. Go closer to the image. Could you ever imagine that you would be a sight to behold. NOW. Get a grip. Grab the reigns of recovery and get ready for the wildest ride of your life. There will be thrills and there will be spills. Life is not perfect. You are not perfect. Mistakes and accidents happen but you are not an accident. You were divinely made to be a child of God. Your purpose in life is yet to be discovered. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God. Stop pursuing earthly pleasures and treasures. You cannot take all that you have with you when you leave this earthly plane. It is plain and simple. Now is the time to break away from the habits and hurts that are causing you such discomfort. Look at the writing on the wall. You are meant for greater things and a better life. A LIFE OF RECOVERY!!!!! What are you waiting for? Get out there and make it the best life ever. A life of hope and recovery.
