Forgotten Voices

This video inspired me to write the blog. He words resonate the importance of talking about issues even when you don’t feel like it. Just reach out to someone and say…..How can I help you? You have a story that may help other people get through their difficulties. Do you tend to feel ashamed of who you are? Never be afraid to open up your heart to someone who needs help. We all go through the bridge over trouble waters. Some of us slip and fall in the trouble waters. Some of us jump in the trouble waters to save our fellow man. Sometimes we need to take risks in life. In order to save a life, we need to recognize when someone needs help. Communication is the first defense to battling the stigma of mental illness. Ask someone in need…..”Are you all right?” “Can I help you in any way?” “Can I call ambulance for you?” “It seems like you are having problem coping……What can I do to help you get through this.” These are just a few hard questions to ask. It is necessary for us to reach out and touch the lives of people that we meet daily. Just take the time to help your fellow man. It is nice to know that someone cares out there…..I CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!
