Hidden Goodness

If you looked past your addiction, there lies within you a hidden goodness. You may not realize that you are worthy of living a life of recovery. Do not be afraid to dig down deep and discover your positive qualities. Take a step up in life. Do not look back to your past. Do not give your addiction control over your life. If your addiction controls you, then your every thought and action will be that of desiring your bad habit. Releasing controlling thoughts does get easier. When you reframe your thinking and negative behaviors, you will find the true benefits of living a recovered life. Find a new hobby to do, read a good book, plant a garden of flowers, or go back to college. The more positive choices that you make in life, the more more your eyes will be opened to living a clean and sober life. Release the fears that are holding you back from living a successful recovered life. Remember that you have hidden goodness within you. You are a treasure chest full of good ideas. Start a journal that captures all that is good within you. After awhile you will discover that you can do all things through Christ who gives you the strength and power to live positively.
