Recovery Is A Personal Decision

Sometimes the first stage of recovery is hitting rock bottom. When the bottom hits, all chains break loose. Addiction chains us to the agony of defeat. Addiction defeats the purpose that God has for your life. You are worthy in God’s eyes. No matter how angry with God you may be, don’t be. Jesus saved you from your sins the day he died on the Cross in Calvary. We all have crosses to bear some bigger than others. But what makes life worth living is knowing that recovery can bring us hope and serenity. Recovery is a personal decision. No one can force you to make that decision. It is your decision and yours alone. People may guide you in the right direction because they love you. When you do make the decision to go down the path of recovery, do it for yourself. When you do it for yourself, you have a greater chance of success. Find a good group to belong to. Celebrate recovery has helped me deal with many hurts, habits, and hangups. Twelve step programs have also helped countless individuals. Living a recovered life is your choice and your decision to make.
