Winners And Losers

There will always be winners and losers in the world of sports. There is a great agony in defeat. Disappointments in life happen. Just like in the world of sports, in the world of addiction there are winners and losers. Which side of the fence are you on? Are you teetering ready to fall off or are you climbing out the pits of addiction. What makes an individual a winner in the world of recovery? The ability to say no to addiction. The word no is a very powerful word. We have all heard the word no growing up. The word no seems so much sweeter in adulthood. The word no empowers us to be strong individuals in recovery. At first it make take awhile to reach the point of saying no to your addiction. It is well worth it. No more hiding behind the curse of addiction. Fully expose yourself to the naked truth of recovery. When you bare your heart and soul in a recovery program, you become a winner. You stop whining and take full responsibility over your actions. You lose the weight of keeping secrets. You will become a changed individual. In life there will always be winners and losers. Recovery in a twelve step program or Celebrate Recovery program makes you a winner one day at a time.
