Mark 11:22-24. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (Life In The Spirit Bible KJV Zondervan) Step 3 falls very neatly into this bible verse. Step 3: We made a decision to turn our lives and our wills over to the care of God. In order to do this we must have complete faith and trust in God. Having faith in God is to believe in his will for your life in recovery. God will help you get through your mountains. If you cannot find a way, God will make a way. But you have to trust and believe that God will take care of you. What are some of the things that you desire? Write it out in your recovery journal. God gives us what we need within reason. Sometimes God will answer yes and sometimes he will answer no. In order to receive the blessing of recovery, we must be willing to do some work. This is true in any recovery program. Turning your life and will over to the care of God should be a daily routine. It is a positive habit that helps you to let go of life’s hurts, habits and hangups. Celebrate recovery is a great start towards the recovery process.
