Out With The Old In With The New

Today is a time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the New Year. Let go of this year’s negative experiences and hold on to the positive ones. Challenge yourself to get out of your comfort zone. I did just that yesterday as I wished Happy New Year to a non verbal individual in a wheelchair. What happened next will be burned into my mind…..He gave me the biggest smile ever. Reflections for the New Year……Do not isolate yourself from your 12 step or Celebrate Recovery program. Make regular contact with your sponsor. Read from the Life Recovery Bible or Celebrate Recovery Bible. Be kind to yourself. Be kind to others. Read inspirational books. Challenge yourself to learn something new. Have an I can do all things through Christ attitude. Write daily in your journal. Never feel like you are a failure. You are a work in progress. Strive to just take in the little things of life. It is the little steps in life that leads us to success in recovery. My New Year’s wish for you is continued health and success in your recovery. Keep coming back…..it works if you work it. 👍
