Developing An Attitude Of Gratitude Over The Next Year

I honestly thought my year was going to start out great until I received a big emotional blow recently. I realized that I had to make rational decisions. I picked up the phone to call my support systems. What happened was absolutely nothing. I had no choice but to reach out to God. I now know that I should have reached out to God first. I was grateful that I was able the cry out to God. Did I receive my answer. Not yet. What I did receive was the ability to calm myself down. No matter what transpires I know the importance of having an attitude of gratitude. When all hope is lost, there is always a glimmer of hope. There is a false sense of gratitude that an addict may feel when they feed their addiction. Recovery and gratitude go hand in hand. Gratitude shows individuals in recovery how to live in the moment and not in the addiction. The following link is about gratitude. I hope it may help you on your journey of recovery.
