Running On Empty

Emptiness brings me to a place I don’t want to be. Feeling lost and all alone…..I cry out. Lord help me get though this. This deep unbearable pain of fear and failure. I want to see the light once again. I am blind and I cannot see what’s ahead of me.

Yes, thoughts of hopelessness can come right before God’s breakthrough for you. Stay focused on the positive recovery encounters that are sure to come your way. Just think one day at a time. One hour at a time or even one minute at a time. Recovery from addictive behavior takes time, knowledge, and understanding. Take time to go to meetings each week so that you may gain the knowledge and understanding of the keys to recovery. Recognize that you need to take time read the Bible each and every day. Immerse yourself in positive behaviors. Stay away from people, places, and things that are not good for your recovery.
