Perseverance

It may feel that you are running a marathon in your recovery right now. Picture every step that you take will get you closer to the goal that you have set for yourself. You may stumble this year and you may fall. Always get up and never give up. Every day you will be faced with decisions to make. Before you make any life changing decisions ask yourself this question…..How will this effect my recovery? If it will positively impact you life, it is a good decision. If it will negatively impact your life, leave it alone. Today I will do one of the most bravest things in my life. Brave decisions are hard to make. It is during this time that you must persevere. Stand up and say…….I can do this. I can make it through whatever comes my way. Nothing is impossible. Get back into the world of recovery. Celebrate Recovery will show you the way.

  1. Background checks should be done at EVERY Celebrate Recovery location. At our church we have people coming due to court orders following their prison sentence. The program is free so the state takes advantage of the program to save money. We just found out we had an unrepentant child molester stalking our children’s group. We only knew because a person in law enforcement brought it to our attention. Several children were targeted. Do your homework!

    • I have no problem with real background checks being done. Times have changed. The Celebrate Recovery group I just left is ” looking forward” to letting prisoners in their program.
