It Is Not What You Think It Is…..

I heard the words…..” It’s not what you think it is.” as I registered for the five day CIT conference. I honestly hate it when a church member tries to dummify me in front of my youngest son. I waited for it. But it never came. My son just sat there and listened. My son knows me. The church member does not know me. Not once did she offer to give me my money back. The wheels started churning in my brain and then I thought……Just let it go. The conference will be more than I have expected. After all, it is being run by a police officer. I only have one word for police officers……RESPECT. I have seen lack of respect in many places out in public. Times have changed. I should say that I am not who I used to be. I am like a sponge ready to soak in new information. Some of the best information I have ever received has come from Celebrate Recovery. I have learned to respect who I am. I am never judged in Celebrate Recovery. I am respected for being a part of the group. Celebrate Recovery was not what I thought it was. It was more than I could have ever expected. Celebrate Recovery has given me the tools that I need to be the best that I can be.
